On October 23, we had the pleasure to appear in the Spanish edition of PV-magazine for the coverage on our company. We have participated with an interview in the section “Made in Spain”, that covers different companies producing components for PV-plants.
Below you can see the link, and the translation into English.
Made in Spain: Praxia
In this section we introduce national companies that manufacture any type of products related to the photovoltaic industry. Today we speak with Praxia.
Company name and description
At Praxia we are dedicated to the design and production of photovoltaic structures. Since its foundation, the company has been very focused on internationalization and innovation, having exported structural systems with a total power greater than 1,000 MW to 25 countries in recent years.
The focus on innovation allows us to offer solutions for all types of photovoltaic projects, with competitive, bankable and guaranteed solutions. I would highlight our agreement with the University of Oviedo for wind tunnel analysis, and the coordination between the engineering and manufacturing areas, in a constant search to improve competitiveness and products.
We always say that we are a company of Clients, and not only of projects. We manufacture structures for 20 kW and 50 MW projects.
When was the company founded? How many employees do you have?
Praxia was founded in February 2006 and has about 20 employees.
What manufacturing capacity do you have?
The capacity is about 180 MW per year, and our average production volume is around 130 MW, in the different structural solutions: on ground structures, roofs, photovoltaic carports and elevated solutions (telecommunication antennas, agrovoltaic).
What do you highlight about the company? What sets you apart from the competition?
Our alignment towards the Client, to be able to offer competitive, bankable and guaranteed solutions in a dynamic way. By this we refer to the constant need to be improving and studying new solutions, such as our recent launch of adhesive structures for sheet metal roofs, and our ballasted flat roof structure, which is easy and quick to assemble.
What are your main markets?
Mainly Europe, where we have great experience in the United Kingdom, Holland, Italy and Spain. In total, our structural systems are in 25 countries, on all continents except Australia. It is a market where we are working hard on. We want to be able to enter that market.
Regarding markets outside of Europe, I would highlight Japan, Panama, Saudi Arabia and Ghana.
Future plans and medium to long term objectives
To keep working on solutions linked to sustainable development, where we see a great convergence of agricultural and industrial activities with photovoltaic solar energy.
To be able to continue introducing ourselves into new markets. The strategic plan for 2023 is aimed at doubling our international presence in number of markets.
We believe that there is a huge market for complete structural systems, where we can showcase our complete brochure of solutions, our experience and our vertical integration.
