CHALLENGES OF THE SPANISH SOLAR INDUSTRY
The global increase in the market supposes an improvement of commercial opportunities. In 2019 -until November- more than 4 GW of renewable generation power were installed, of which 64% was photovoltaic. Renewable energy auctions continue to be one of the most effective mechanisms to promote them, especially in Latin American countries, where the number of NCRE auctions continues to increase. In Spain, the Ministry for the Ecological Transition issued a decree that regulates a new remuneration framework for the generation of electricity from renewable sources. This measure is expected to avoid possible increases in rates.
